Beginning of the project
You can find our very first individual questionings, which led us to having the idea of our project Mindmap 1, Mindmap 2, Mindmap 3, Mindmap 4 and Mindmap 5. Theses Mindmaps enable us to analyze the notion of autonomous cars and the notion of Smart cities, in order to develop our project.
Context
This Applet could be successful soon since Smart cities are currently emerging. Hence smart cities are one of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs in the coming years. With the tremendous progress of electric and autonomous cars, there will be issues with recharging and reloading such cars. Thus, we reckon that entrepreneurs will be the backbone of smart cities as they have the power to invest in order to innovate. For example, Elon Musk with the project "Hyperloop" or Jeff Bezos are spearheards of smart cities. Here is what we started with, to get familiar with the market, our competition and our potential users -like you !
Idea
The project 'Sharging' is an applet to offer your electricity to recharge autonomous cars against reductions at Amazon and Uber if you have a free garage. Indeed, we deem that Amazon and Uber will become respectively leaders in the future driving experience. What's more, this project is actually made for smart cities, that is to say, not only sustainable cities but also more generally the cities of tomorrow. For instance, Dubai with the project Sustainable City (a future city without energy consumption) or Copenhagen, considered as one of the greenest cities all over the world, are paragons of what a smart city would look like. Target
Our applet is made for consumers of autonomous cars to improve their daily experience. Because autonomous cars will be a widespread phenomenon in the coming years, it might be hard for people to find a way to recharge their cars. Our target is also people with a garage including an electrical plug. It is abundantly clear that every person won't be able to charge their cars at the same time and everyone won't have en electrical plug at home. Of course, our Applet is made for Smart cities. Hence, the applet "Sharging" aims to target not only autonomous car driver, but also electrical cars drivers and people, who are used to using Amazon and Uber.
CSR aspect
Our Applet enables people who offer their electricity to get reductions at Amazon and Uber, that is to say, they will earn reductions on their uber transport card or when they want to purchase something on Amazon. All in all, the CSR aspect is paramount as people will more to book an uber car or to use the future transportation system made by Amazon. Our project highlights the fact that environment and especially wastes will become a huge issue for the development of smart cities. There is also a social aspect as everyone could earn reductions on their transport cards if they decide to share their electricity when they have an available garage.
